Have any other people experienced a sudden drop in mileage when the range drops below 100? Four times in the last 2 months I have gone out to dinner, parked at the restaurant with about 95 miles left and when I came out after dinner and turned the car on, it showed between 33 and 36 miles of range. Not enough to get home. I took it to the dealer and they had no clue. I called Ford in Detroit and they also had no clue. Am I the only one experiencing this?

I never had that.

What battery charge do you see? Does it drop from like 50% to 20% while you dine?

What year is your car? Do you have standard or extended range battery? What do you plug in at and what do you charge to? Do you normally charge at home or do you mostly use fast charging? When’s the last time you charged to 100%?

Evs have a greater dispersion of ACTUAL range based upon temperature, avg speed, elevation change , etc. than ice. so the ESTIMATE/ GUESS you see can show this same significant shift from an inaccurate input sensor.. mostly likely it just some input data getting off while sitting.. and since it’s temporary.. just ignore it. Well actually ignoring the GOM generally just the right answer anyway.

Sorry, my car is a 2023 Premium RWD with about 14,000 mils on it. Standard range battery. I charge at home on a charging station and cable provided by Ford. 90% three times a month and 100% once a month. I'm also having a problem where even though I set the charging target to 90% it charges to 100%. All very confusing and puzzling to the dealer and Ford. Thanks.

Either the BMS calibration is way off, or you have a bad module in the battery. The dealer should be able to run a test for bad module.

2 months ago in Toronto Canada (which is relatively close to Detroit) it was still quite cold in the evenings. Any chance you park in a heated garage, took a short drive to the restaurant and then left it outside for a couple hours in below freezing weather while you eat?
Battery wouldn't have time to heat up on the drive and with the cooling of the battery while you eat and the lower outdoor temperature I would think the guess o meter would drop the expected range by a fair bit
