This has happened quite a few times. Start off with 85% charge showing 233 mile range (SR Premium). Enter a destination 25 miles away, then range dropped 50 mi to 188. Don’t understand why.

I was presented with this same warning day before yesterday and I kind of freaked out. I knew from previous experience to log into ford.com and found that the charge level was comfortably over 80%. This appears to be some glitch or Gremlin in the system.

That's a feature called intelligent range. If you take a trip you'll be driving much faster than your normal average speed, so range needs to be adjusted to reflect the higher travel speeds.

If you actually tell the vehicle where you are going it can then provide you with a far more accurate range prediction. It is terrible at guessing the future (unless you tell it) due to the lack of time travel.

Time travel is in BC 1.6, but only at 88MPH.

I think that’s a new feature that bases the range on the conditions to your destination. I don’t use the native nav, so I don’t know for sure. There have been a couple of threads on the subject.

It has already been answered twice. Intelligent Range. Now three times!
