SXM Hardware Failure

Driving this morning, my SXM stopped working mid-song. After a few minutes, I get a scree message that says "Hardware Problem." Presets are jacked up. FM/AM radio work. Android Auto Works. I'd rather not have to bring it to the dealer on Saturday morning and not have the car for several days. Thoughts?

If Sync reboot doesn’t fix it, you’ll need dealer service.

Sync reboot, and then if they doesn’t work, I would pull the fuse to the Sync system, it’s located under the passenger foot well. If you google Mach-e fuse schematic you should find the list. I’ve had this happen before a very long time ago and it fixed itself after a key cycle.

I went through some SXM troubles a while back.

I suggest trying multiple sync resets first.

Next - be sure your subscription is active. You can use the app or call Sirius.

Then call Sirius tech support. They will have you shut off the car for at least 5-10 minutes and send a reset.

Then bring in to dealer.

Download the SiriusXM app and use Apple CarPlay or the android equivalent as a backup.
