Anyone know why my thermometer on sync screen in hot weather may range from 124-128? Hot in southern Utah but not that hot. Thanks

because sitting in the sun, the thermo-couple is that hot.

Consider that on a 90 degree day here in PDX, the sidewalk is easily 130+ (oh yeah, fun with an IR temp gun )

Because it's inaccurate until you've driven a distance. Sitting still, baking in the sun, it yields a much higher temperature. It needs air passing over it.
