Somehow, against my vote, my MME is being pressed into service for the Elton John concert tomorrow at Metlife Stadium N.J. The car is three weeks old and has 1,000 miles on it. I have very mild HVBJB concerns due to the expected high temps tomorrow in the 90's but I'm not going to stress about it. However, I do expect the trunk to be opened for several hours tailgating and I would like to play music. If it's super hot, I can see spending some time inside the car with the AC on. I don't have any range issues to deal with but I obviously, don't want to stress the 12 Volt.

What is the best approach for say 2 hours of tailgating? Leave the car running with the AC off, tailgate up, music on? Run the AC when I need it but leave the car on... right?? Thanks. ?:)

Disable auto shutdown and leave the ignition ON so the battery stays charged. Do not use Accessory mode since that's only mean for short term (10 mins) use and can drain battery. Keep the key with you so no one steals it, key must be inside to shift from park.

AC on or off doesn't matter, that's up to you.

I would think for the tailgating, I would open the Frunk, with a choice of beverages and snacks.

If tailgating, why not go with the standard?

If that frunk was insulated with a cap, that would come in handy; I guess its just a matter of time for that product. Curious, how does that frunk drain work?: is there a plug you pull and it drains your MME when you want or your MME just leaves an ongoing water trail and puddle wherever you go (that would be annoying)? I don’t ever see using that tub without a real “cooler”

I love how she remembered the sauce for that shrimp cocktail too.

If you leave your frunk closed during the concert, the melted ice and warm shrimp juice will leak out from the drain into a gooey puddle -- probably nothing that the Meadowlands parking lot hasn't smelt before ?
