I pick up my Demo '25 Select, AWD standard range tomorrow. What tips and tricks do you have for me as a new owner?

If you are charging at home, set you charging schedule (either in the car or on the charger) to avoid charging at peak rates, and set your charging limit (80%).

We really need a FAQ.
I’ve been thinking about this. Happy to support a knowledge base.

As for the original poster question…

You don’t say if this is your first EV or not.

If it’s your first EV, then you want to download the apps. EV owners have apps: PlugShare, the charging apps (like Tesla and Electrify America). Yeah, you can Blue Oval it, but if it doesn’t work, you’ll want a backup. Also, try a road trip! Drive it somewhere that requires a fast charging stop. You’ll gain confidence!

If you’ve owned an EV but this is your first Mustang Mach E, then you’re going to need to develop an opinion on these subjects 😉
  • Rally springs and sway bars
  • The seriousness with which Ford is taking EVs
  • Frunk size between 24 and earlier and 25 and later (there is only one correct answer to this one)
  • Ford’s technology, including its connected navigation, blue cruise, and FordPass
Glad you’re posting!

- Move trunk floor to lower setting.
- Sit in your vehicle and go through every setting, hitting the "i" if you don't understand it.
- Download your manual in PDF form from owner.ford.com to every device and read it. Don't be one of those people who 2 years into ownership say "I didn't know I had this feature".

If you’re setting a schedule set it at the car, not the charger for best control. And never in both.

I see you hail from Ontario, which means you will eventually need to learn about cold-weather topics, such as preconditioning the battery and the cabin, effect on range, etc. But first, hit the road and enjoy!

…….. unless you’re going out next day then it’s 100%

Try all 3 driving modes to see what you like as well as one pedal on and off....lots of strong opinions on one pedal, do what feels better but try it on and off.

If you are going to use DC/Fast Charging setup the Ford Blue Oval Charge account, enable Plug and Charge if using Tesla Chargers or EA (maybe some more added to the list recently). Get Tesla adapters for fast charging, possibly for Level 1/2 also.

Teach everybody how to open the doors

Phone as key, if you've never used it is very nice to have, and key fobs will seem like a pain in the ass in short order. Setup backup password/code if using phone.

Setup keypad codes and learn the shortcuts (i.e. pressing bottom two locks the car)
