Just received this update an hour ago. I'm in EAP.

We've updated the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) to improve communication with the network services that support your vehicle's connected features. Because these are behind-the-scenes system improvements, you will not see any visible changes to your vehicle at this time. Telematics Control Unit

Are you supposed to tell us your are in Early Access?
Others would have asked if he hadn't volunteered that fact. And, it matters -- there's a tendency for EAP members enrolled vehicles to receive OTA updates sooner than non-enrolled vehicles.

The other question one might ask is, if his vehicle's receiving an update early due to EAP, isn't there a non-disclosure agreement that he's violating?

Well, who knows!?! Ford generally doesn't communicate well with its EAP members. For instance, they receive OTA updates with no announcement ahead of time, and quite often there's not even a post-update survey, or if there is, only a subset of members receive the survey. And, the update itself, as shown in the vehicle or in the Ford app, doesn't have any text saying "Your vehicle is receiving this update early. Do not discuss."

So members might reasonably assume that the only time they're not allowed to discuss updates is when they've explicitly been informed, "don't discuss the following update XYZ". As far as I recall, that sort of request for vehicle updates has only occurred a handful of times since the beginning of Ford's EAP. (It occurs far more regularly for Ford app updates.)

I know of at least one non EAP vehicle that got this already. I am in EAP and didn't get it yet.

We get emailed about special programs to enroll in, those we aren't supposed to talk about. I had one feature for almost a year before it went General Release.

EAs get the normal updates about a week or 2 before others just to test that it worked well. We report back "this changed this setting" and hopefully they fix before general. So normal updates like this, fine to discuss. Special programs that might not ever go public we are supposed to be quiet (but they still end up here anyways)

That's exactly it. We've gotten updates that have said "don't talk about this", but those are (sadly) far and few between. This doesn't seem to be a super-secret hush-hush deal.
