In the trunk - on the left side there is a small compartment / cubbie and it fits perfectly there - accessible but still out of the way - because it won't get much use....
^^^
This, the box Ford sent us fits perfectly in that little space.

It's amazing that the answers keep coming. I'm waiting for

"I store it in my pants. It impresses girls."
Pants? Huh? I impress the girls without them. ??

I am just curious where everyone is keeping their adapters? I keep mine in the box usually in the back seat floor. But too big for the glove box and awkward for the frunk.

Suggests or comments?
with my portable power cable under the rear floor board

He wanted to know where he could charge his Taycan, and if the adapter would work on the Taycan. The adapter doesn't care what vehicle he is charging, only the charger does. If he wants to prove he can use a non-vehicle-specific adapter to charge a Taycan, he can validate that at a Magic Dock location.
I kinda figured the Ford adapter would work but I hadn't seen any posts about others using it with a different manufacturer until I notice one using it with his Rivian. Sometimes you never really know until you try something out on your own.

With EA I always figure I have a 50/50 chance on the charge working correctly no matter the car... which is pretty sad. And I did try out the adapter on our Mach-E at a Supercharger and it worked flawlessly with a very fast charge. So I guess I am looking forward to more Magic Dock locations or Tesla opening up to Porsche...

I have a box in the rear of the car with misc stuff. Sweaters, extra ball caps. My collection of adapters lives there, like the tesla L2 adapter, and two different 15-50 adapters. Too many adapters for under the rear area.

If you use it often, you can leave it in the foam pouch it came in and slip it into the rear door pocket. Fits snugly, almost like it was sized to fit there. Used it regularly on a recent road trip and it worked very well.

I keep all my adapters in my frunk and my mobile charger in compartment under the trunk.

It's not a Ford adapter, it was just sent by Ford. Yes, it will work with a Rivian.

You haven't seen anything about anyone having success using an adapter at a non-Magic Dock site? Where exactly have you been looking? That's the whole point of the adapter.
I have used mine on my Rivian and on my Hummer, the latter for the week GM was doing testing on SCs. FYI, I had the charger limit speeds on the Rivian in 108F, started at 190kw then very quickly dropped to 110kw. Truck indicated limited by charger.

I have not seen it limit with the MME yet, but then it only goes to 155kw for a short time then down to 120kw.

I strongly recommend people keep the adapter in the car on trips in hot weather, no sense allowing the adapter to get too hot in the frunk.

What's the max charge speed you have seen with the adapter and your Rivian? Can it do more than 150kW?
My Rivian has gotten up to 215kw, but not in hot weather (>100F), the Tesla chargers do not seem to like the heat. I have been able to get 185kw on my Hummer with a Magic Dock, but have not tested it in really hot weather yet.

There was a week recently where GM was doing testing, and I was able to use the adapter and got 180kw on the Hummer. It runs at a lower voltage than the Rivian. But on an 800V charger the Hummer can get up to 360kw. The rate gets cut in half at 400V.
