The ONE and only point I’m making is that the consumer is fooled into thinking Tesla has more range because Tesla chooses to use a different test than everyone else and a smaller reduction %.
I can validate this statement. In 2021 I was choosing between the Mach-E and the Model Y LR. Having zero experience with an EV, I chose the Tesla because of the 330 mile range vs what was for the Mach E at the time, 240.

Since then, and over 33k miles, my real world mi/kWh is 3.4 in the Tesla, which with a 75 kW battery that puts my average range at 255 miles. Yes, roughly half of my miles driven are highway, but I bought the Tesla over the Mach E because of the EPA stated range difference. I assumed both vehicles were tested similarly.

I'm now trading my Model Y in for a Mach E.
