Not sure if this has happened everywhere but Tesla has raise the price of charging in Central Florida where I live.
Previously they typically had two tiers 38 cents kwh during peak hours and 21 cents kwh from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
They are still at 38 cents for peak regular daytime hours but now it is 31 cents for non peak before 8am.
And it's not clear in the app but there's a 34 cents kwh somewhere in there as well. I assume after 9pm or 12am to 4am. It used to be clear in the app what the price was by time now it's overlaid with some expected usage/busyness bar graph.
Don't know when this changed but I noticed I paid $.31/kwh around 7am yesterday. Also, these are membership rates, add about 5 cents kwh for non member.
Checked a bunch of locations in the app north and south of Tampa as well as out to Orlando. The prices are pretty uniform now whereas it used to be different discounts at different locations.
I'm going look at the rates for non-member and see if it's still worth paying the $12.99 a month. Since I have so many Tesla superchargers near me I use them plus my 120v home charging. This was working well with 15 cents kwh rates at home and 21 cents at Tesla, now I'm going to have to install the 240v charger. Moving soon so this is fine timing.
I'm curious if this price increase happened elsewhere around the US?
