HUH?!

How many times have Farley, Palmer, etc talked publicly about logistical nightmares causing delays? Perhaps no one from Ford has told you exactly why your specific car is delayed, but they absolutely HAVE been explaining the general situation.

Seriously, google "ford chip issues"
Dude you can Google chip issues and Spobgebob and score hits on Google. It's completely different thing to come out on an investor call and state it upfront with full transparency.
I did go back and check the news feed for Farley related news feed and buried somewhere on page 3 he briefly acknowledges shortages and that they will be henceforth prioritizing high margin vehicles. Well last time I checked they were behind on all models Premium and GT's included.

He has a history of overpromising and underdelivering, whether it’s vehicles or software features. People used to compare him to Steve Jobs, but that now seems a joke.
He has got his own flaws but there's no way we are sitting and putting your opinions on a Mach E forum without him doing what he has done for EV's worldwide.

Wait, let me understand: you're saying musk did a good thing by ONLY mentioning delays in an investor's call this week, but Farley did a bad thing by releasing the same statement in the 21Q1, 21Q2, 21Q3, AND 21Q4 investor calls. Plus the fact that Darren Palmer, Farley, and others have released the same information in interviews for the last year:

December 6th: https://fordauthority.com/2021/12/f...chip-shortage-will-probably-last-through-2023

April 22nd: https://www.autonews.com/executives/ford-ceo-farley-calls-chip-shortage-greatest-supply-shock

May 5th: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...iconductor-crunch-will-get-worse-this-quarter

Sept 1st: https://www.thedrive.com/news/42171...-improving-despite-ominous-headlines-ceo-says

Just because you aren't paying attention doesn't mean it is being kept quiet.

Don’t forget “demo of swappable battery next year.” That was in 2013, I think.
He only did that one to get money from California. As soon as he got the credits, he dropped the project: https://arstechnica.com/cars/2019/1...e-of-the-internets-most-polarizing-companies/

I'm a big fan of EV tech (obviously), and Tesla has been the major force driving that forward . . . but I bought a Mach-E over a Tesla for lots of reasons. Musk is actually one of those reasons (though, a relatively minor one). Mostly, I find the MME to be a better place to inhabit and drive than the Model 3/Y.

Cyber truck is one of the ugliest things ever designed.
And that is exactly why I ordered one the millisecond their website would allow it!
I gasped when it drove onstage at how weird it looked and immediately switched to "If they can possibly produce anything close to that strange looking that is functional I have to have it!" I guess my very low (~4000) reservation number doesn't mean much given continued delays.

I also have a fairly early reservation in for F-150 Lightning but expect it is far too boring for me to want to keep it for long (if I even end up purchasing it). Not to mention, while the base price is cheap, it looks like if I want even close to the interior luxury level of Mach E Premium package I'd have to spend over $70k for a boring truck.

Maybe not, but we both chose 2021 Mach E in rapid red. :). A good part of my and my wife's reason for doing so was because Tesla Model Y is the new Honda Civic ... Way too common/boring, while Mach E is a little more unique (for at least another few months :) ). Cybertruck would be the least boring thing since the DeLorean (if it ever releases)...

Good points. Looks like we can be friends after all.
