Ordered a base GT on 12/6/21.

Just rec'd an email that it is built as of today 2/4/22 with a scheduled delivery date of 3/9/22.

That would be 3 months from order to delivery if it holds. Not what I was expecting but I won't complain.

I am in one of the ZEV states but not sure if that played a role. No other special circumstances.

I hate the dealer allocation system, should be first ordered first built, in a perfect world I guess.

They could do it that way, but for all the reasons already listed, it would actually be slower and everyone would wait longer to get their cars. But it would be more “fair.”

Yes, thanks for that refresher on Manufacturing 101. That doesn't make it less frustrating to see a car spec'd identically to mine that was ordered after mine get assigned a build slot before mine.

I'm sure you can relate.

This system needs to be more transparent. Ordered in Aug. had to reorder in Sept. due to model year update. Given a Dec. build date, then update to Jan. 10. The web site then gave a delivery estimate of Feb 2. On Feb 3 the delivery estimate was revised to May 7. i’m ready to buy a Tesla and get away from all this FMC BS.

If your dealer put your email into Ford then Ford will send you updates like this. If not he has that info. If you have a build date then you have a vin.

Finally after 6 months I got one from them and had a priority code of 99 ( which tells FORD not to build yet) complained and got switched to 19 week later got my build date as of yesterday. Hope this helps. I'll try to post a copy of my sheet.

I ordered 10/4/21. Ford marked it received 10/17/21. California Rte 1, Ext Range, Metallic White. Not yet scheduled.

Yep got one in October and asked again to see it in December. No change priority code 19. Dealer says code really doesn't do anything... why have it then?
