I apologize in advance if this is answered somewhere in this thread; if so I can't locate it. How do you view the update history for a vehicle? I looked under "Vehicle History" but other than seeing a list of dates, the info shown with each individual date didn't seem to give any details. Thanks.

You need a FDRS subscription to see complete history.

Thanks; I got a 2-day subscription yesterday to do updates and wanted to look at this before it expires.
Oh, I think I understand your question now. You have to click on all of the dates to check for update activity. If you asked someone to just check for updates you won’t see much listed on those dates.

So anytime a service advisor or tech uses your VIN and puts that into the PTS system to check the status your your vehicle, or anytime a tech (or you) use FDRS to check and diagnose or update your vehicle using FDRS a session log is created that you can then reference later.

If you select a dated session log and the entries all start with "PTS:" then that is somebody looking up something. They could be checking the status of your vehicle or simply using your VIN to filter TSBs or SSMs for info related to the Mach-E in general. If it says OTA Dashboard then that's what they were checking specifically for your VIN to see if there was any activity or what your history was.

Sometimes there will be a dated entry and when you select it it says that there isn't anything to show. Those are usually entries caused by me looking up your VIN in FDRS to see if there are updates :)

ok thats weird, i just got 22-PU1212-SWS-ECGMP again (while being abroad)
so this means Ford is preparing for something maybe ?

it is a gwm update only released for europe, but i am sure i was on a newer gwm anyway.

Ok, thanks. At least I was looking in the right place. I can see details for service the dealership has done in the past, but for the updates I did yesterday it only displays an error dialog:
Code:
{"fault":{"faultstring":"Body buffer overflow", "detail":{"errorcode":"protocol.http.TooBigBody"}}}
Good thing we took notes. ?

I've seen that before and from what I'm told it's the session log has so many individual steps that it's too much to re-display when it's pulled back down from the cloud.

Was it a long programming session yesterday?

I think they ought to send you folks the same updates we get here in the US. If there are certain restrictions for usage, those should be handled at the 'asbuilt' level to enable or disable things. But the software should be normalized across the platforms to minimize the configuration butt-soreness. Clearly this is being run by a committee.

It was sixteen modules over the space of three hours: PCM -> SOBDM, BCM, GFM, CMR -> PSCM, DCME/F/G/H, DSM, OBCC, GSM, RFA, DSP, and WACM.

I just plugged my PL6100 into my MME’s 12V and got an error condition. I tried two other cars and a known hood 12V battery with the same result. I should have tried the thing when I got it back in October. Now I have to send it in for service. No FDRS for me until it’s fixed unless I want to parallel in the car batteries and two chargers like I did the time before I got the PL6100. Ugh. ?‍♂?

Did we decide that just installing the HCM would activate the high beam ramping, or do I absolutely have to do it through FORSCAN? I did the updates and turned on the high beams in the garage and it just looked….normal? I then ran the HCM configuration figuring maybe that would do it, and they still looked the same. Is the ramp something only with the auto-high beams and the manual stick push doesn’t do it?

I just did all of my waiting updates and that’s the cool one I was hoping for!

Yes, and you have to be driving in AUTO mode in order for them to fade. It won't do it when switching them on or off manually.

It is such a beautiful day that I decided to tackle updating my car. I did the CMR first, but had problems staying connected to the Ford Server. The server icon was green until FDRS started doing the network scan, then it remained red throughout the session. It took a couple of attempts to download the huge firmware file. I had to login a couple of times when FDRS went to download the file. The earlier download attempts were slow, but finally it completed the download more quickly. It took awhile to do the module update. It then did the PSCM as a ganged update. The PSCM update went smoothly. I decided to break for lunch before doing the door modules, HVAC, and RFA.

Did you have any other connectivity issues at the time when FDRS was having troubles? Sounds like you might have a spotty wifi connection from your laptop in your car. Perhaps positioning the car differently, repositioning your access point, making sure you're on 5ghz etc. might help?
