After reading all of these stories about dealers marking up orders, adding LoJack and $1000 wheel locks, and more, I just had a freak-out moment and emailed my dealer who I hadn't heard from since the original order back in April and said, "I'm reading all this stuff about what dealers are doing and we're not going to have any of these issues, right? I don't have a deal sheet yet that shows the pricing, and we're not going to have to get into a discussion over $1000 wheel locks, correct?" On top of everything you all posted here that I need to worry about, I saw that their dealership was adding $5000 ADM to Mach-Es on the lot, and I just lost a mental wheel bearing.

He called me and said, "I just noticed you don't have a deal sheet in here from back when you came in. I'll fax it to you; sign it and send it back and everything will be as it is on the sheet. No, you're good on the price; no ADM on the orders."

MSRP + Dealer Processing ($899 which I still think is a scam) + Registration Fees (like $65) + Virginia Tax (couple of grand) and that was it. I mean, I've never paid MSRP for a car, even with a first year model, but I'm not getting around that on the MME and I can live with myself.

I guess I can unclench now until I actually get to pick the damned thing up.

A little.

Maybe.

I'll just feel a lot better when the damned thing is in my garage.

If anything this forum has me both entertained and informed. There's plenty of good information to be found here as well as some great tutorials. I for one have been able to make a list of things to check when my MME finally arrives. I was in the same situation as you with no "proof" of final pricing and my dealers sales manager gave me a copy of the dealer order sheet as well as the printout of my configuration with the pricing listed on it (signed) and he assured me there is no ADM on any MME he sells.
As has been mentioned above, head over to the Grumpy Thread and join those of us still waiting, mostly patiently but still grumpy!

Gotta get yourself an X Plan PIN to help with that crazy "processing" fee.
