A few things I’m looking into.

1. Feasibility of custom fiberglass enclosure behind the factory subwoofer grille .

2. What’s the max size driver I can fit .

3. If there is enough interest in the community to mass manufacture these.

Would be interesting, but it’s tiny in there. Doubtful you could fit anything meaningful and I don’t know of any aftermarket 6x8 subs that would work in r even sound good in that space.

What’s wrong with using all that extra space under the floorboard?

Even the space under the driver and passenger seats gives you more room to work with than the factory sub location.

I never said I would be using a 6x8 sub, nor did I say I would be using the stock enclosure.

You said “behind the factory subwoofer grill.”

And again, it’s tiny back there.

I pulled mine apart to tap into the sub inputs when I installed my sub. I just don’t see how you could fit a bigger sub, let alone a sealed enclosure in that space, but I would be happy if you prove me wrong!

Maybe you could fit an 8” sub, but I would be shocked if you even get 1/2 a cubic foot of space for the box.

Like I said, under the tray or under the seats give you way more real estate to play with for a sub box. Plus room for the aftermarket amp.

Also the factory b&o amp will no longer be present. This creates more space.

Confirmed that a 1” tweeter (except dynaudio 110) will fit in the factory dash location. Because the air bag and vent duct run around its not going to be possible to fit a larger tweeter.

Yup. I switched tweeters Morel Carbon Alto and BlieSMa t25b6. Both around 68mm fit perfect.

Still early in development but there “may”be a possibility of a 6-8” subwoofer in the factory spot

The correct adapters to place aftermarket speakers in the mache front and rear doors is METRA 82-5605.

When using the PAC Audio interface be aware that while there are 10 speaker leads only 1-4 work.

The front tweeter speaker leads are in the front of the car not where the factory amp is located.

The rear tweeters and midrange door speakers are wired together on channels 3/4 of the pac audio harness .

Something I wanted to bring up with respect to how quiet the car is internally. One of the things ford did to make the car quieter was use noise canceling technology on the factory speakers. Think of the Bose noise canceling headphones. I can’t confirm or deny this but another source tells me this will be lost with aftermarket speakers.
You sure?

I know some cars have it, haven’t seen it listed as a feature here.

I don't think so, the Mach-E doesn't have the array of microphones in the headliner for that like their past hybrids that did have noise cancelling. There is just the one mic and I'm pretty sure if you cover it nothing will change.

The noise cancelling technology they used in hybrids was really meant to cancel out engine bass drone, the technology can't do much for higher frequency sounds and white noise found in an EV.

As said earlier in the thread I have not confirmed this.
Then why suggest it without any evidence?

You many not be able to confirm it, but we can definitely deny it.

The Mach E does not use noise cancellation through its speakers.

The only tech we get through the speakers is actually the opposite: fake engine sounds (which can be turned off of course).

We also get pedestrian extra fake engine sounds on external speaker under 20 mph.

It’s all “noise extra” instead of “noise cancellation.”
