Beautiful thing. If only it wasn't Saudi-owned I might go drive one.

Who their largest shareholder is, is irrelevant to me. My observation from seeing many of them, around where I live and at chargers, is that they are typically owned by an older audience (60s-80s) and based on their styling are designed to be a "Cadillac" type touring vehicle. Polling on the Lucid forums shows ages to be slightly lower than my personal observations with 100 respondents but I'm going to assume forum goers are typically younger to begin with.

I've seen 2 on the road today. They just aren't my cup of tea but if it's yours then take a look at them. I would start by looking at Sandy Munro's videos on them and go from there.

Size, price and owner demographics are very reminiscent of the Model S.

A friend once told me he thinks they look like Robocop. Now it's the only thing I think of when I see them.

I think they're pretty cool. Very sleek exterior, low drag. The interior design athletic reminds me of being in a small airplane. Great efficiency, range, and power. The Sapphire will be absolutely insane with 1200 HP. Would love to do 200 MPH in an EV.

I'd be interested but they're out of my price range.

I think they look cool and the interior is nice but.......and there is always a but.......the closest service center to me is 150 miles north in Oak Brook IL.

If this forum has taught me anything it is that something is going to go wrong with your EV. Doesn't matter if it's a Ford, Kia, GM, Stellantis, Tesla, ect. something will go wrong that requires a trip to a service center.

Buying a new car is one thing but after the purchase is made there are many other things to consider that go along with said purchase.

"Dead or alive, you're coming with me." ?? My favorite Peter Weller role. ??

I find some things I really like about the Lucid and a few I don't. The biggest thing for me is its price range. ?‍♂?

Sat in a Grand Touring last week. It’s very luxury. S Class level. A very different vehicle from the MachE.

I like the cars (despite the bland styling) but their timing to enter the market was pretty awful and I don't think they are going to make it.

They have an influx of Saudi money, but the Saudis are typically meddling, slow to make decisions and the decisions they do make are often puzzling.

My boss has one, I haven't ridden in it but have seen it up close and personal. It's a beautiful car, looks well-made in and out with high-quality finishes. He says the car drives wonderfully and hasn't had significant issues.

I definitely wouldn't mind having ones except... even with the Saudi's money behind it, I still wonder whether they're going to make it long term.

The styling is reminiscent of Tesla, that is to say, totally uninspiring.

From a performance standpoint - acceleration and range - it might be the best that you can buy at present. I think the design looks like fine. It may not stand out, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I like the idea of sedans sticking around, but have to admit that I wouldn't buy one. I'm too used to hatchbacks, which have a greater utility.

If you like Lucid's technology but don't want a sedan, the Lucid Air Gravity - their next vehicle, styled as a SUV - is supposedly set to go on sale in early 2024.
