The Model Y may be faster but with the Mach-E you get a better looking electric car for lesser money, and that will get Motor Trend to finally give the Mach-E the "2021 Car of the Year" award.

Edit: The year was corrected.

Y has more range and likely much better depreciation. Tesla is light years ahead of anyone else.

Real world testing doesn't support your first claim, at least not by a significant margin. The second is pure supposition. The Tesla has home depot parts, an interior made by Playskool, and bumpers and roofs that are prone to becoming independent from the rest of the vehicle without warning. And Ford is about to beat Tesla to hands-free driving, without requiring drivers to put tangerines in the steering wheel or whatever.

But yeah, "light years" ahead.

The car that never needs service is found at overfilled service centers with a chronic and unending lists of flaws. The Tesla bubble could very well burst if it refuses to focus on quality control, improved communication services at their service centers and with the growing emergence of alternative EV choices.

A few more miles of range doesn’t justify scheduling 4 service visits as soon as you take delivery of your car. There’s something to be said for quality.

Sounds like the MME is a fun vehicle to drive, which is really what driving should be about. The hands free option will hopefully take care of the other times when you're stuck on the 4 or 5 in traffic.

I think this quote sums it up best: "Wow, I was not expecting this!" What more is there to say other than -- "Nice job Ford".
