I see you're unfamiliar with Jalopnik. Their comment sections are famously full of people whose car budges rarely crack 4 digits but also like to pretend that they're too good to drive a Maserati.
That sums it up pretty good.
My solution is to stick with a few channels, magazines, and websites that are known to care about reviewing cars (e.g. Doug De Muro, Edmunds, TopGear, AutoMotorSport (Germany)) and not to just generating views out of stupid headlines.
And I had to learn to avoid the comments sections anywhere on the internet, because like all of you know, it´s a meeting point of either a group of people looking out to provoke or people that are just frustrated about whatever (their lives?). They are just loudmouths when nobody is watching.

wait wait wait if a German review is positive about a Ford car then that means Ford has made the best car ever! ???
Yeah the German press is often overly positive about German automakers, especially the Volkswagen Group. Car comparisons then quickly become ridiculous there. I really think Ford has hit it big with the Mach E.

This is a pretty good review by motor trend but they compare to a performance model Y which isn't quite fair plus they don't take into account the build quality and things that are included with the Mach E vs not in model Y. www.motortrend.com/cars/ford/mustang-mach-e/2021/2021-ford-mustang-mach-e-first-test-review/amp/
You are mistaken, they compared a Mach-E Premium against a Model Y Long Range (not the Performance model), and the Tesla posted shorter 0-60 mph time. They also listed the braking distance to come to a full stop from 60 mph, and in that contest the Mach-E won. Two weeks ago there was a heated debate in another thread with someone complaining about the small size of Mach-E's brake rotors. I wonder what the brake expert has to say about this result. :p

Well I guess I'm actually confused, not mistaken. Long range states 4.8 secs 0-60 and performance is 3.5 secs 0-60 per Tesla site so I don't know what is real...

Car and Driver reported 4.4 seconds 0-60mph (with 1 ft rollout) for Model Y Long Range previously but hasn't published any test results for Mach-E; Motor Trend just reported 4.1 seconds for Model Y Long Range (they stated so in the writeup, it is not the Performance which has higher output) and 4.8 seconds for Mach-E Premium Extended Range (same 1-ft rollout).

Ok, just seems odd that Tesla would post 4.8 seconds long range but in reality is 4.1. Doesn't seem accurate and doesn't make sense for such a disparity. But I'm over it.

I agree, their number for Model 3 Dual Motor Long Range which had the exact same power train as the Model T they used for the comparison test, clocked in at 4.0 seconds, I think Car and Driver's 4.4-second seems more accurate given Y's extra weight and height. I am not bothered by Mach-E's numbers at all. Incidentally, Model 3's 60mph stopping distance is also longer than Mach-E's.
