turn off car while OTA downloading?

Quick OTA question:

I had an OTA downloading (Updates page showed "Updates Downloading") but I had to turn off the car. Will that update continue to download with the car off, or will it abort and retry the next time I start the car? (The update was ECG-24.2.4.9)

It will likely just continue, and complete.

Downloading is not UPDATING.

yeah, looks like it installed itself as well without any interaction. Appears to be the GWM update (ECG-24.2.4.9)

I think I'm starting to understand how Ford determines which OTA's to push to which cars and when. The system is very similar to "spin the bottle."

Naah, it’s not that scientific. It’s more like a shotgun patterning board… with crappy loads and a dizzy blind guy behind the butt. Several hits spread around the circle with huge holes in the pattern where there are no strikes. Or possibly nothing hitting the board at all. ??

some of the otas will tell you to turn the car off and that you won't have access for x no. of minutes
