The CELESTINE does the same VLI- DAG run as the ADELINE. They usually run in tandem. While one is in DAG the other is in VLI.
Good to know, thanks Grahame!

Now i've been told it's in Vlissingen, i'm getting excited as a kid on Christmas Eve i'm afraid ?

The dealer did their best to bring me back down and tell me that sometimes there are delays UK side so don't expect it to go in and out of customs checks the same day, but as i explained, i've got a full 14 months worth of excitement buried that is finally starting to (slowly) come to the surface - no negative comments are welcome haha.

Fingers crossed it can make the last leg of it's journey fairly swiftly and UK Customs are on their game to release in the next week or so :)

@AzumA you are quite right to be excited - don’t let anyone take that away from you. ?

Ive been a bit busy to post the last few days but was going to say the same - that there had been a bit of IN / OUT hokey kokey going on, and that mine was finally in Vlissingen.

Now we have escaped the seemingly endless purgatory of Antwerp lets hope for some speedy movements.

Also just to add to your excitement - the UK customs clearance is actually done as part of the Antwerp stuff - so your car won’t have to go through further checks/delays when it reaches Dagenham. We just need to keep our fingers crossed that the logistics peeps in Dagenham are on top of things and can get them to the dealerships quite quickly.

Getting closer guys. I know what you are going through at the moment. Excitement tainted with anticipation/trepidation. So close yet so far. I just can't believe that @Wonky_Donkey is going through all this AGAIN, but I do understand the reason why. I don't think my nerves/blood pressure/wife would cope if I did it again. First time was bad enough. Still it is all worth it in the end. ? ? for you guys.

What makes it infinitely more bearable this time is that I‘m already driving one (glitches aside) that I love.

I’m just hoping I’ll love the new one just as much - but going to the back of the queue for OTA’s will hurt a little bit LOL

Amazing! Didn’t realise since brexit that they did the customs side of things over there, but that’s awesome news.

I think perhaps the dealer was actually saying “there might be a delay because we can’t proactively sort transport” ? -keeping everything crossed and can’t wait to get it here now. The dealer actually said to me “status is saying, at Flushing (big pause)… not sure what that means” - I had to educate him and say it’s another name for Vlissingen in the Netherlands. He still insisted on calling it Holland, but I let that slide ?

I’d tend to agree that having one already would make the wait a bit more bearable, but I can see the (welcome) light at the end of the tunnel now so the excitement is building by the day haha

Thanks for all your help this far guys, the fact you’ve already been through this made the process a lot less stressful.

Unfortunately, dealers have no input whatsoever in the transportation of any of Ford's vehicles. They know where they are but as to when the turn up at the showroom is entirely in the hands of the transporter company. Most of the time first thing they know is when the cars pulls up outside.

Thanks for the clarification Grahame, i'll try not to press them too hard for an update in that case ? - just looking forward to the "it's here" update from them now.

On a separate note, is there any way of knowing if a vehicle has been loaded onto one of the RO-RO's, or is it a case of knowing this when the status update changes?

The next most important one you/your dealer wants to look out for is "Compound IN DAG TOPS". Then you know it has landed on UK soil. You are then in the lap of the transportation Gods!!!

This has been an ongoing issue for the majority of MME customers. Dealer interaction. Because they aren't making as much from dealing with the MME as they do with the other inventory the MME customer gets pushed to the sidelines. I was one of the lucky ones I think. My dealer would email me with every vista update he received, admittingly probably to keep me off his back but then I also had other sources that I could get my information from. Sometimes I was able to tell him what was happening before he knew. In all the years I have bought new factory order Ford's ( I/my family have had about 14 in all) buying the MME was by far and away the worst experience so far. BUT WORTH IT IN THE END :):):)

I have to agree fully with this, seems not much has changed in a year or so and i'm hopeful they address this situation asap really as i can imagine it would put those individuals unwilling / unable to wait for so long off, especially with zero updates... as you say, it's worth the wait and i'm nothing if not persistent! haha.

Thanks for your help and advice Grahame.

Totally agree too, Can't imagine the average Tesla customer putting up with the lack of information, and progress reports on the order status. Or maybe its just as bad.

I visited my ford dealer yesterday and they think my car should be in by 28th May, so the other carsin that particular shipment should be about the same time. Gives me a few more days to get the charge point fitted. Nearly there!

One question to expectant owners. What are you all doing for paint protection? Getting quotes for front end PPF film (grill area, bonnet and black plastic around the doors) and ceramic coating for rest. PPF expensive much more than I expected TBH

If i'm honest, i think it's a similar situation across the board. I've also got a Porsche Taycan on order, ordered also March 21 and it's still not even got a build slot allocated to date... i'm just glad at least one of the cars i ordered is almost here ?

Last dealer update was ETA to them 21st May, although i wouldn't be surprised if it's extended another week the way things are going. Is your dealer also Trust Ford Barnsley by any chance?

As for the paint protection, i'm not 100% myself on that one - i'd like to opt for something long term but that side of things is alien to me and i'd have to do a lot of research before committing to the kind of costs i've seen knocking about of late.

Just had a text from my dealer to say car has arrived in Liverpool, (don't know why as dealership in in St Helens, only a few miles away) You might recall on same boat as yours to Antwerp which car was discharged from on 29th March. I thought it was somewhere between Antwerp and Dagenham so nice little surprise.

Interesting... might give my dealer a call tomorrow, not sure why yours is in Liverpool though as you say? haha, to be honest i think most of ours were at the Vlissingen port in the Netherlands at the beginning of the week so it would make sense that it's taken a few days to sail over and dispatch to the dealer.

Just more waiting for the dealer to hold it for licencing and adding plates now, not long to wait!
