There is an insurance classification reason for the Ford key. The US (Mustang) key transmits a signal 'continually' therefore to stop criminals intercepting the signal you need to place the key in a container / RFID blocking pouch when not in use. The UK (Ford) has a sensor and when it detects no motion stops transmitting information to the car. Since this reduces the risk of theft it means the insurance group is lower.

Myself, I found a leather pouch with red stitching (my MME is Rapid Red) and also a leather strap with Mustang written on it. Both were from Ebay but other people have found similar solutions on the usual websites (Ebay, Amazon, Wish etc). If I remember correctly someone on here found / had made a gel Mustang logo that replaced the Ford logo.

After a flurry of BMW/Range Rover thefts in our area I was suddenly seeing our 'Ford Fiesta key' in a new light. Yeah I'd love to have a nice chunky Mustang key, but for the peace of mind to not have to constantly worry about Faraday cages, crook locks, etc, like my last 2 Jags, I'm pretty pleased with it in reflection.

If course if they could get around to putting that tech into the Mustang fob, with the Frunk release button Ford UK also promised a year ago :p, I would be REALLY pleased with it.

I found some nice Mustang metal key rings which add a bit of class at least:

Though the latter can dig into your thigh when you sit down lol

If you use any key other than the one supplied with the car you will void your insurance. The proper Mach E key which USA/EU got DOESN'T have the capability to stop transmitting after a certain time which was a requirement by Thatcham/Insurance companies.
