Honestly I am definitely disappointed at the color choices for the Mach E. I can say that so far everything else about the car is a 10/10 to me. Maybe the view of the front of the car is a 9/10... but the color choices were/are less than stellar in my opinion. I was hoping for sportier vibrant colors all around in addition to a black, white, silver, and grey options. The only colors that are "unique and exciting" are red, orange, and Grabber Blue, and two of those colors aren't available anymore unless you opt for the GT.

My wife loves Infinite Blue the most but when asked which she would own herself she chose Star White.

The only color her and I both agree on is Grabber Blue being really nice. I missed the FE however, and I honestly like Premium better, so not an option anyway.

I really want to like Rapid Red, but I feel I'd LOVE it if it were 1.5 to 2 shades darker.

I settled on Shadow Black or Carbonized Grey having the "meanest" and most aggressive looks to them. I wanted to be able to see the difference between the roof and coupe lines... and additionally I hated how dirty my black ML350 would get after I washed it... so I settled on Carbonized Grey. I'm happy with my choice most of the time, but I would totally opt for a sportier paint color, including orange, if Ford ever released new colors.
on the color options hmm.
how many EV are on the market now similar to the mache? about 8?
how many color options do they have. Which EV has the most color options? which one has the least? How much is the upcharge for the color options also?

Great questions. I am super new to the EV market so I am totally under-qualified to comment.

My (limited) experience is with 2000's SUV's, sedans, and sports cars (CTS, Camaro, Challenger, etc) and a desire to blend the EV functionality with the aggressive and sporty looks of these cars.

Maybe it's just a pipe dream, but I would be over the moon excited (even more than I already am) if there were maybe 5-6 more color options that flashed a little more. Give me a deep purple. A lime green. A darker red. I just feel like there aren't a lot of exciting color options currently. Just my .02¢

nothing is a pipe dream my freind. I wish there was a 100 color combo we could pick from. More is better for us all as consumers. But the mache I think has the most or second most color options.

I haven't checked everyone but the Taycan has a million color options, I love the green. I guess that's part of what you're paying for, you can customize a ridiculous amount of the styling on that car.

Tesla has like 5 and they're all ugly IMO, some Tesla owners advise that you just get the free color and wrap it anyways because the paint is so bad.

Polestar 2 has like 5 as well. I like their dark blue, the others are black, white, and shades in between.

Doesn't seem to be a ton of paint options in the non luxury segment in general these days.

As for color options here are my 2 cents. Had a black murano, when its dirty in the winter, it ugly as hell, when its clean, the swirls you see looks like you drove through a forest with spider webs everywhere and when clean and paint treated stunning. White you'll see every single piece of dirt, tar, brake dust you name it you see it. If you a lot highway you look like somebody dumped a bucket of dead insects a over the car. Silver/Grey every car at one point was silver or grey especially mid 2000's. So that leaves the blues hence my choice. I like the red but since i have an Orange SpecV i didn't want to do any free advertising for Mastercard.

Where does that leave the MME? Many on here would argue the MME is more like a luxury vehicle than non.

Cars are boring these days. Nobody wants to break the mold, everyone looks the same now. Even the interiors are looking similar.

I think I would also prefer a little bit darker Red but only because in California most days are sunny and on a sunny day Rapid Red is not that deep/dark as I would like to see it. But on a darker/cloudy day Rapid Red is really good and just about dark red in a right way. The thing is different with Infinite Blue - awesome color when it's sunny but totally loses the beauty on a cloudy/dark day - just gets unimpressive. Of course, it's subjective - but whole my family voted Rapid Red on a sunny day when we compared two MMEs side by side (and on a darker day the difference is even more dramatic, imho).

I would have liked a dolphin grey, non metallic, but not a mainstream color for most people.

It's expensive and nice but I would call it premium personally. A luxury car is a status symbol, which I don't think the Mach E or any Ford really is in the sense that a Porsche is. To be clear, I don't think that makes it worse.

I agree, it's like another EV brand thats saying its competing with other luxury brands but in reality its nowhere near that level yet.
