First off, I echo prior sentiments about your value to this experience.

Second, are you by chance aware of the mechanics behind what process determines ship date or transit date? Specifically what has to happen in order to make those fields populate on the fordtracker website?

Thanks again for all your insights
This website (not being specific to the Mach-E and also being published 3 years ago ... so keep that in mind when reading as some of this may be different) outlines the process:

https://performance.ford.com/enthusiasts/quick-look/2017/08/vehicle-tracking-system.html

But this statement on the page is interesting:
  • Typically logistics require multiple vehicles going to an area and ensure the railcar and or truck trailer is completely full before transit.
My take on this is that cars don't ship out in the order in which they were produced... they sort them into groups based on their destination and the whole group ships once they have enough going to that destination.

I changed my phone’s language to English(UK) and made like 22 screenshots. Do you want them here or in a separate topic?

there are even more options available now!

Given the current situation, that's probably correct. I betcha shipping of the 3000+ sitting at the plant is almost totally devoid of original priority now. They're probably just scrambling to get anything shipped that they can in this batch. Whatever destination they can secure shipping for will be the "winners" over the next 3-4 weeks.

My guess anyway.

Cuautitlán is 17hrs from the DFW metroplex. If I was more confident in the charging network between there and the border, I’d offer to go pick mine up as soon as it comes off the line!

There may be some priority but again we don't know what it will be. I agree it isn't likely to be the original reservation priority. However, it might be customers before FCTP (or vice versa), FEs first, etc. My guess will be customers before FCTP as that means cash flow and fulfills the promise of getting cars in customers' hands. The biggest priorities also may include quickest delivery and full rail cars.

Since we heard the plan was train to Kansas City then split east and west I've been figuring first deliveries would be around KC. However, they might drop off some in Texas on the way through. Of course, the plan may not be KC any more.

Yeah I agree - with the cars continuing to be produced, it's now a matter of shipping out whatever they can. Gonna be a crap shoot at this point, so build date (if in Nov or early Dec) really doesn't matter much IMO.

I have a friend who completed the Mongol Rally in a Fiat Panda. Apparently that involved carrying the car across cracks in roadways, drinking “reclaimed” water at one point, and being detained by unaffiliated militia at some point. I think I can make it happen. ;)
