I've had some ideas bouncing around in my head for a FordPass redesign and Dark mode.

I don't have PhotoShop, so I just put this together in PowerPoint (Graphic Artists CRINGE....).
The colors aren't just right for a couple of reasons. One of those is that the icons that I used for car functions were black and I could not (or couldn't figure out) change them to white.

I only did the Home Screen so far.
I'm not a fan of the colors or rectangular buttons on the Vehicle screen and think it also needs a complete rework
What I have is very rough, but I'd be interested to hear your feedback on the concept and direction it's going and any ideas.

I'm under no dilution that @Ford Motor Company would even see this, let alone adopt anything like it. That said, it's a fun little project for me. ;)

I made some changes and updates as well as added a key for the icons that are new.
I posted this late night/early morning and it fell off the front page of threads. Hopefully dropping this during the day, it might catch a few eyes.

A definite improvement over FP as it exists today. (And I'm also a fan of dark mode.)

Show the fuel level and Estimated distance to empty on the main screen for ICE vehicles too. Not sure why Ford doesn't include this. You have to select the vehicle tab for this information.

I think that would easily replace the SOC and work with the Estimated Miles to Empty sections.

As a side note:
To register for FordPass, you have to include your VIN. Ford has all of the information, including the color, year, model, and trim related to that VIN. They use it to assign a photo of your car, in its appropriate trim and color, in FordPass. They should be able to use that for a top view (as in the design mock-up) of our cars in the correct color.

Additionally, they should use the correct year, trim, and color anywhere that they show a Mach-E in the Sync system as well. This could be programmed at the factory, by the dealer as part of "Dealer Prep", pushed down from Ford to the Sync System when you register in Sync, they could allow owners to set the color of their cars in Sync (I had this on a 2014 Nissan)....

I sent concepts, feature suggestions, designs, etc. to The Early Access group. Will be very interesting to see what is incorporated in new versions.

The redesign is nice! But I'm more interested in some of the functionality rather than appearance. I would like:

a) the ability to program my charge times precisely - why limit it to starting/stopping on the hour? I'm on time of use rate plan, and this forces me to end charging an hour before peak time and start back an hour after to prevent any possibility of charging during peak time. At least allow 15-min increments.

b) in the charging log for each session, show mileage, start & stop charge %, time elapsed, estimated mile added, and total kWh added. I have to make sure I write down the kWh before unplugging or it disappears (unless I'm missing something?).

c) give me the option to download the charging logs into excel or csv format I can analyze my "mileage" easily.

Overall, I'm disappointed in the app...as I am with my Generac PwrView app for our solar system. Don't they get that some of us adopt these technologies because we're analytical nerds and want access to the data?
