So, after a blistering week that saw me get 4 updates within 7 days, it has now been 5 days without another. Do we thing this is just a lull in the storm, or are they evaluating the vehicles reactions to having that many updates pushed at them that quickly? Or, is it something altogether different, like they are updating a second set of vehicles?
This is a planned pause to evaluate all the data from those 4 updates on the first batch of cars. Once the ok is given they will either bring the next batch up to the same update level or move the first batch to the next pause point.

Well, in 24 days they'll have again missed the promised installation of BlueCruise. About to do my 3rd long trip without it. Pissed off now.

Given how fast these updates have happened....24 days is a long time.

I wouldn't bet $5 that BC is on Job 1 cars by 3/31 given past performance.

Job 2 and 2022 cars, yes. Job 1 cars? Consult your Magic 8-Ball. ???
:)
I just showed this thread to a coworker who drives an ID.4.
"Look. The Mach-E is so good that all we get to talk about is how many updates we get and the length of time in between. What do you guys talk about on the VW forum?"

I can't repeat his reply since this is a family place. :)

I am getting darn tired of walking out to the car every 30 minutes to see if there is a new update available so I can post “First!” ?
I’ve got the OTA status running as an iOS shortcut. When an update is coming I check it twice a day lol.

Who needs to give the okay? Because they can have mine!

That's likely because you, and the others in this EA push, haven't yet received all the updates leading to BC.
I understand that. That’s why after getting an update every other day for a week, I’m getting antsy after 5 days without another one.

We are supposed to have BlueCruise already?
Yes. We were supposed to get BlueCruise last September, then sometime in the 4th quarter of last year, and then it was moved to the first quarter of this year. Then a week and a half ago, several people in the early access program got an email that there was about to be a string of updates preparing our cars for BlueCruise.

I’d like to think they would do both simultaneously.
