I believe it was done through GPS satellites. I have noticed that in Bergen Co. NJ I got more GPS satellites coverage than my place in Windermere FL ... don't know if this is relevant or not.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but likely totally unrelated (I don’t know anything but in the EA VIP program, it was reported that people were selected based on proximity to some kind of specialized support. In theory, Ford could “ask” a target vehicle “hey, where are you?” And I’d the vehicle said it was in an area without Ford Support, they might choose to pass over the vehicle.
Like I said though, I don’t think they employed a strategy that sophisticated.

Are build 1 cars that get BC getting the same version as build 2 cars that came with BC? I have a build 2 car that came with BC.

I’m hoping they made some improvements:

a) ability to lock in BC on capable highways (it drops back to hands on the wheel CC quite often)

b) a smoothed lane centering algorithm. It’s very jittery.

It would make great sense for BC to be rolling out to the masses now since I just completed a 1,500 mile trip yesterday...

Ford should revoke any EA status if someone thinks anything is transmitted via GPS...

Yes, Sir ... what I meant was the updates were not done while connect to WiFi ... nor through any cellular services either ... I believe it was done through GPS satellites. Pretty sure Mickey Mouse was blocking the satellites, that’s definitely it.

I’m glad I’ve been waitlisted for months on EAP when people who don’t know even how satellites work can get every update, I’m sure they are sending very useful feedback to the team.

While driving yesterday my screen went dark for less than a minute & then restarted. I thought for sure I was getting update as I’ve never seen it to that before. But alas, nothing upon restart and no message in the app ?

The good news is it isn't clear that you have missed anything by being waitlisted. EAP hasn't meant a whole lot for me.

Have you tried traveling to NJ? I've heard that can make all the difference.

I have updates scheduled every day of the week at 1:00 AM (to stay far away from the 12:00 issue). I should have about the biggest window possible (23 hours/day) to get updates.

What I am saying is that even though I had the updates scheduled for 02:00AM every day I never got anything ...but the minute I got here in the NJ/NY metro area ... bingo! I got two updates one after another.
