So I just got my 25 Select. I love the updated instrument panel and blue cruise was really neat.

I noticed the center console did not have the privacy cover. The dealer and I looked at a bunch of others on the lot and the only select that included it was one that had the interior protection package.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this @Ford Motor Company is this correct that there is no privacy cover on the center console on the base trim?

Other things I noticed
1) I don't need a separate at&t plan for the wifi in the car - it's part of the connected plan
2) Having the 360 parking with the front camera is great when i'm pulling into the garage
3) I have to get used to the yoke control instead of the dial - I kept reaching to the center to change gears.
4) I'll have to see if bluecruise makes sense after the trial - I do not do highway driving that often
5) I know the Frunk is MUCH smaller - but I think I used it once in all the time I had the 22 and it was to put a beach towel in - so I really do not think it is that big a deal for me at least

I did some digging and can confirm that the center console cover was removed for MY25 Select at Job 2.

Some of the deletions that Ford makes have me shaking my head. This is one of them. "Yeah, those guys that buy the cheap model don't care if all the crap in the console is visible.

@RickMachE - I agree - what was interesting is there was one on the lot that had the protection package for $550 - and the dealer and I both looked at each other and said yeah - not worth it for that.

It isn't the end of the world all I keep in there is my NACS adapter and a box of tissues, it was more so that I was surprised by it not being there

Interesting idea except I don't have a 3d printer. It's one of those things that really does not bother me, but I found it interesting it was missing so I questioned it.

If you want to dabble, you could measure the space and see if there is a lip it would rest on. Design a solid cover with a little handle, matte black, that maybe just lifts off like a lid. Then many libraries let you try out and print on their 3d printers. I will take a look tonight and measure my space to see if I could possibly design it (I am very green at this so I need to practice).

If you want to experiment.... if you google for mach e console safe you will see some examples - in theory this could be used as an example...

in my opinion the "safe" is overkill, but in terms of having some site supports and then a top with a small door - it would serve the same purpose

I have seen a locking cover for the Mach E console advertised, you could use that

I was somewhat saddened at the design of the center console storage bin in my '24 MME. I loved the 2-layer console center storage bin in my 2014, 2016 and 2018 Ford Fusions (each model was an upgrade from the prior). The padded armrest between front seats was the console lid, hinged at the back. There were two latches just under the front lip of the armrest. One only lifted the lid to access the bin's top compartmented tray. It was shallow, with a coin section (well, that's what I used it for) and the remainder could be used for anything that would fit, including a cell phone or smaller things that you didn't want settling into the bottom of the main bin. The other latch lifted the lid AND the top shallow storage tray, giving full access to the main storage bin, power plug, FOB storage, USB-C access point and enough room to keep most everything you normally would put in there. I thought this was a great design feature and would love to have it in my MME...but alas....

I got this nice tray on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/BestEvMod-Co...8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

Some people complain it leaves about an inch or two of space under it but I like that and it has the coin slot. It's a decent organizer
