Hi all,
Has anyone used the OEM Tesla 240v charger (the one that came with the car and with the J1772 adapter of course) to charge the Mach e? Thanks in advance for your reply.

“State of Charge” on YouTube tested a Tesla Destination EVSE with adapter on a Mach E. It worked fine.

My parents are doing the reverse with Scotty’s cord and their Model Y; seems to work just fine with an adapter.

Not exactly what you asked, but I think relevant: I have used Tesla destination chargers with my MME multiple times without any issues.

Thanks. I realized this morning that the adapter that I have is a J1772 to Tesla and would need the "Tesla Tap" to make this work. Any recommendations on which one to get?

Lectron sells some great ones on Amazon. I have the original 40a adapter and it works fine. I upgraded to the 80a teslatap for future proofing and road tripping.

Just note, no matter what adapter you get, connect it to your Tesla nozzle first, allow it to set for 30 seconds before plugging it into the car.
