I currently own a Tesla Model S from more than 8 years ago. The home charger that I use is the original one.
I am currently waiting for the arrival of my Mach-E, which was supposed to be in production last week. I have read conflicting information about whether the Tesla charger can be used to charge the Mach-E. Some have said no, there is something in the Tesla chargers that blocks other non-Teslas from being able to charge. Others have said it is as simple as getting the right adapter.
Does anyone know definitively if i) the NEMA 14-50 that powers the Tesla home charger can be used for the Mach-e, and ii) what kind of adapter or attachment would be required?
Thanks.
