A few times a year we take our one or two week vacations. Does anyone know if their is a vacation or idle setting in the Mach e. I don't feel comfortable leaving the car plugged into the charger while we are away.

You should be fine for periods less than a month. For longer than a month you can follow the instructions in the manual.

The options discussed on the forum for keeping the batteries happy include:
1. Leave it plugged in to your EVSE but set the maximum charge well below 100%. 80% should be fine but 60% might be better as that is the level most lithium batteries prefer when not in use. Set the timer to only charge once a week.
2. Schedule a periodic "wake up" such as climate conditioning with low heating or AC to allow the high voltage battery to charge the 12v.
3. Disconnect the 12v and use a trickle charger.

I was thinking about this the other night. Like, what If I drive to the airport and park it there for a week? Am I going to need to keep it home and take an uber the airport?

No. It should be fine for a week with very little power loss. Remember to turn on the climate control as you board the shuttle bus to your parking area for maximum comfort.

Thats exactly what I am asking about. I am hoping when you charge the Mach e battery to 100% it will hold its charge for a few weeks. My current vehicles have no problem when not driven for a few weeks.

Oh no, charge it to 60% and IT should be fine for weeks, my e-Golf keeps all of it's charge in a 3 week vacation period. 100% charge and sitting stationary is really bad for the battery.

What do you think my MME is charged for now ( 8 december until now parked at the factory? I presume around 50%)
