Valet / car wash

With the new sync update, looks like valet has been changed around. It now gives you a code that I’m assuming you’d give the valet in lieu of your keys.

made me think about a recent situation… I use PAAK exclusively. Went to a car wash and got into a sticky situation where I couldn’t walk away from the car (speciality hand wash where they moved the car between stations)

with this new valet feature… I assume I could enable valet mode, then enter the code myself, then should be free to walk away from the car and they could still drive it….?

That’s not new. Valet mode has always been there. Just bring a fob when you’re going to the car wash.

Yeah- didn’t mean the feature was new. Just the way it worked changed (auto assigns a PIN, shows it in FordPass, different pin for car and driving I think)

never really read into the feature. Figured it was to lock down the car when handing off the fob… not to use in lieu of fob

I could just take my key…. But that means I’d have to pre plan LOL

I always bring a fob when I go to the car wash. And I remind them to press L before going into the tunnel

This would be brilliant. Although I dont take my cars to automated car washes unless I am out of town and its too damn cold to hand wash my ME.
