Software updates seem to be a pain point for many customers. Everyone probably has an idea of what the ideal situation for software updates would look like.

What is Ford's vision for this process and how far along is Ford in this vision and what barriers are there that are making it difficult to achieve this reality?

Thanks.

-- Any plans to upgrade/improve the standard suspension on the Mach-E's that are not blessed with the magnetic shocks in the GTPE?
-- Why has Ford been unable to resolve the HVJB issue? The new parts still seem to be failing.

About the decision to force sharing of Driver Data to have access to basic EV functions (like app-based charging status and departure settings).

This was both a biz and sw decision. Why?

You've increased the efficiency of the charge curve for existing MMEs once via OTA efforts, any plans to do that again in the future to keep existing MME charging times comparable to the competition?

So, I’m going to be a contrarian here: if I were to walk up to a random Mustang Mach-E owner in the parking lot and ask them about software updates, do you think they’d respond that those are a pain point?
Is it possible that software updates are more of a pain point to “enthusiasts” than to the wider group of Mustang Mach-E owners?

What driver data is being shared, and with whom? Suppose Ford’s design requires information be sent to their cloud (such as your departure time)?

Great questions because they bring a different perspective that I didn't think about.

My short answer, I don't know.

In my very limited interaction with people though, most haven't heard of the Mach-E but that wouldn't necessarily mean that's the majority of the population. However, given that this is a relatively new car, and an EV that is not a Tesla, do you think the owners skews more towards enthusiasts, general non-techy owners or a healthy mix?

The software in my '23 has presented no problems. (outside of the outsize costs for a year of Blue Cruise). But I want to hear that keeping software up to date is Ford's problem and not mine.

Clearly this forum is full of early adopters and technology-focused individuals. The average consumer doesn't give a rat's behind, and most of them are clueless.

Even without the BC 1.4 update, I've been very pleased with the OTA software updates on my MME. The random glitches are annoying but not terrible. Of course I really wish I had BC 1.4 but 1.0 has been quite adequate for my drives in allowing me to arrive and feel much more rested and relaxed.

Edit: above was off topic

I would like to know if Ford is ever going to allow EA Pass+ with P&C.

I’m hoping Donna gets asked if there will also be meaningful charging and performance updates made available to 2021-2023 Mach-E GTs.
2'ed - really hoping there was a lot done in software that we pre -24 owners can benefit from.
