I keep seeing this orange animation in videos and pics online. I’ve experimented with my drive modes but can’t figure out if it is newer or older software that does this. Why can’t I find this animation on my Mach-E?

My unbridled causes orange lines to be drawn in the top corners only. Most of the time I can’t even see them because the steering wheel blocks that portion of the screen for me.

Unbridled with all of the nanny settings turned off IIRC. I have not done it with my GTPE yet.

Which settings are considered nanny? I tried turning on Unbridled Extend to see if that was it but it wasn’t.

Turn off all the lane-keeping and lane-centering items. Every last one. Turn off everything related to BlueCruise etc. Basically, turn the MME into a dumb cruise control only vehicle. That should get your speed in the middle of the IPC. Then you can do this.

Thank you. Guess I’ll never see that on my car. I like all those nanny features! I’m paying for them after all. 😆

I turn off lane keeping/centering when I’m not on the highway specifically so I can see the pretty UI. When I’m on the highway I turn them back on. No need for them on side streets, they don’t help at all.

Go into the driver aid settings and find the one that says pre collision assist and expand to find the setting for the drivers screen graphic. Turn that off and then you get the view you seek (provided you don't have a destination set in nav or cruise control isn't enabled and LKA is off.

You don’t have to turn off everything in settings… very easy. Unbridled mode and then press the lane keep assist button on the steering wheel. It’s on the left hand side, bottom right. You can still use normal cruise control, but obviously lane keep assist won’t turn on, nor will BC.
