what's "Discounted Maintenance Plan"?

i bought my MME last July.
then ever since, i have not received any Ford Rewards points so I checked missing points from Ford Rewards website.

" Our records show this sale was given a Discounted Maintenance Plan at the time of purchase, so Points can't be awarded at this time. "

what the "Discounted Maintenance Plan" could be?

Sounds like the points were instantly rebated towards the purchase of a maintenance plan... Causing it to be a "discounted" (because of points redemption) plan.

I've never heard of that option though.

the rep was resourceful.
she was able to locate that maintenance plan under my VIN.
it turns out, i have contract for basic maintenance at 10K and 20K miles (or once in 12 mo)

"USA 2022 NEW 24/25K PREM MAINT(M&W) 10K INTERVAL"
up to 24 months or 25k miles but since recommended maintenance is for once for a year or 10K miles, i will get two maintenance.

when i bought my MME, my finance guy did not really go thru in details but my amount to finance was actually little less than it supposed, so i did not care.

Sounds like your dealer used your FordPass points without your consent so they could get the sale on the service plan. The recommended maintenance at 10K is a tire rotation and inspection of coolant level. ?‍?

Wow, call your dealer and get your money back, if you can. That is a total effing scam. 10k and 20k mile services are like $30 at the dealer. You got hosed so they could take your points for cash value from Ford and charged you a few hundred as well.

What dealer do you go to? I don't think mine picks up the phone for $30.

I had a basic maintenance plan and at 10k it covered inspections, tire rotation, and new wiper blades. Something I could do for $30, but I bet the dealer would have charged $75+

I'm sure they charged him much more than $30 to get the maintenance plan.
