I like tech stuff. It was “promised” to be included sometime in 2021. I consider it to be an integral part of the driver experience of the MME. Before we go off track, just let me say, if you dont want BC then you dont have to use it. I want it.

Yes, I was hoping @Ford Motor Company would provide an official update on the schedule. And maybe just a little push to step up the pace. Actually, I would be happy if they could just let lane keeping assist do what it does without the constant warning “keep ypur hands on the steering wheel”. That would be a big step forward.

You won't find @Ford Motor Company providing an "official" anything. Ford doesn't let social media teams do that.

In case OP meant this as a serious question, there was an official communication from Ford on 1/28, which says “starting in the first quarter of 2022”

It also says "It is anticipated that customer letters will being in the first quarter of 2022. Customers may receive a general notification via mail, email, or FordPass prior to receiving software availability letters."

I have my windshield/roof recall scheduled for the last full week of February, so I'm hoping that 21G01 is available by the end of that week at the dealership. Probably not though.

That's my problem - I don't know how much should I want it. On one side, I rarely drive long enough so my hands need a rest from holding the wheel. On another side, it was "promised", so I feel that Ford lied to me and I need to defend myself.

I'm in a unique situation - my Job 2 car doesn't have hands-free mode enabled and I don't think that even OTA with BC for Job 1 will fix it because my car will not be included. So I want to decide for myself how much trouble I want to go thru to get it fixed.

It seems BC requires OTA map updates to continue functioning. So it appears that your BC will continue to work until 3/22 before it needs an update to keep working. Said map update is currently rolling out

oh, well it got the update yesterday. I'll check what it says today in the sync info screen.

You will get BlueCruise when you buy a new Mach-e. They said everyone would have the best version of their Mach-e available. Clearly that meant just buying a new one when new features came out like every other car.

I am waiting until I get the official notice from Ford that it is available to be installed. Then I am takeing it to the dealer unless it is waiting for me to install OTA. My dealer tells me they dont have the parts for the glass recall yet.
