I'll have to look in there! I already tried to unplug that stupid backup beeper but that throws a code. That's really dumb! So now I'm going to have to find another way to defeat that while I'm under the hood I'll look for those miles ?
There’s a thread on how to disable the beeper by replacing the speaker with a resistor. Give it a search!

Ooh... good looking out! Thanks, probably just saved me a lot of time and some wire splicing ? the next thing I was going to try was to just ground the wires, but I was pretty sure that wasn't going to work since it was monitored that closely.

Your gom range is better than mine at 75% then mine is at 88% ? my efficiency just sucks. I can't get over 2.7 going 70.

Your car might have a rolling resistance issue. What happens when you are in Whisper, 2PD in D and you let off the accelerator? Does your car roll forever or slow down? Any difference when switching back and forth between D and N under that same scenario?

Wow I haven't actually driven without one pedal yet.... And the years before with my Tesla I always had one pedal turned on, that was a strange feeling to just roll but yes it seems to completely free roll when I toggle between D and N I don't notice any perceptible difference between the two.

Make sure to let your insurance company know you’re disabling safety features so they can adjust your policy accordingly.

So I think I might have found a new bug.... I've always used my car in unbridled with one pedal drive on and haven't had this problem yet. I put it in whisper one pedal driving off to run that experiment you suggested earlier, And when I got to my destination and turn the car off open the door the Bell kept dinging like my lights we're left on but it was still daytime my headlights were in auto and the lights were not on. Fast forward a few hours I get home pull into the driveway open the door get out there's still the ding like my lights are on but I don't worry about it because I know they're in auto. Well I go to bed... later I can see there's lights on outside after a few minutes the lights don't go away so I looked out the window to see what was going on and my mustangs headlights are fully on! I go out to the car it's locked of course phone is a key wouldn't let me in as usual for about 50% of the time I use the keypad on the door to get in toggled the light switch to off and back to auto like I said it was already in auto, now the lights went off. So I don't know If this was a one-time error or if I'm going to have to screw with my headlights every time I switch a drive mode? Interesting bug. I'm going back to bed now, in a little bit darker room this time.

This is a well known bug. If car dings, turn light switch to off. If you want reset to Auto, not really necessary though from my experience. Car loses track of switch position logic apparently.

Dang! I guess I'll remove the gold star I gave myself for finding a bug ?

Mythbusters covered this one. It's ICE and everything but
" studies have shown that having your windows down conserves more fuel than running the AC. Even the Discovery Channel's MythBusters have tackled the debate. Their experiment revealed that, in their conditions, keeping the windows rolled down was also the more fuel-efficient choice. "
Well I looked and I can't find the article that I am recalling, so perhaps I am remembering wrong, or they had some bad procedures that skewed their results so they pulled it down. Either way, I guess it would be very interesting to see what the results were with an EV.

Well. This just helped me out. Updated the car to 2.4.4 the other day and now it won’t shut up when you stop the car and open the door. Will have to try this when I get out to the car tomorrow.

There is a very long thread with detailed instructions and lots of advice from Google JD’s. Some weird guy with no concern for all the blind children created it.

I got 3+ pages into reading this thread before I gave up. It's a shame it got muddied so fast with "range" talk instead the more valid issue raised: kWhs. The "range" number (miles) has been beaten to death a million times. It's a shame it was even mentioned in the title, prompting wrath and mocking.

But kWh (fuel) is a valid question. His data did seem to suggest it was showing ~66 usable instead of 70 usable. But a few people were kind enough to address that part, which was nice to see (sounds like probably just inaccurate readings).

I don't know if you read deep enough into it but I think we found out why I was short kWh.... I didn't drive beyond 0% and 3.3 KW hours was still showing available at 0%. So evidently some of the usable kWh are stored below 0% state of charge.
