First time poster here. This winter when I got my Mach-E, I was getting around 190 miles with a 100% charge (see picture). Now, I'm getting over 270 and growing (see picture)! I'm afraid by summer I'll be close to 300 miles in range! Is the battery swelling in the heat? Should I drive more aggressively to slow the growth? Or use different electricity? I called my dealer and explained my concerns, and they hung up on me. Next I am going to contact @Ford Motor Company and see if they have any ideas. Otherwise, it's back to the dealer it goes.

WINTER (169/.9 = 188) SPRING (244/.9 = 271)

Sync software was based on Windows. Maybe if you did this it would fix it?

I've just plotted my rolling average 100% range vs the monthly average temperature where I live (and went on holiday) over (nearly) the last year. Not a perfect correlation but a believable match. My journeys seem to have a bigger influence, ie when I enjoy the car :)

Looking forward to this myself, just out of interest what is the temperature where you are to get this range, still not very warm in the UK at the moment

First, you need to understand that the GOM (Guess-O-Meter) is not what you should use to estimate range, you should use your miles per kW x the size of the battery.

The winter picture was from January 3rd. High of 25F (-3.9C), low of 1 (-17.2C).
The spring picture was from April 29th. High of 57F (13.9C), low of 34F (1.1C).

It's going to be in the 60s here this week, low in the 40s at night.

P.S. Hopefully you noted that I'm far from a first time poster, and this thread is poking fun at the countless threads we got over the winter stating "where did my range go" as new owners discovered the hit that cold weather brings.

Has anyone in this thread made the correct comment yet that battery range is based on outside temperature? If you bought this in the winter, your battery lost 40% and as it gets warmer outside the range increases? Same thing happens with Teslas it's part of the EV experience and totally normall

My mileage is increased over time as the algorithms in the car get used to my driving. These factors include time of year how heavy you are on your right foot and how many accessories you use regularly.

Thank you for the warning. I took mine to the dealer and they thought they heard something in the car.

Battery park has been slowly removed from car and it’s sitting in a bunker like building awaiting new battery control modules to sort this out.

once again thank you for the warning, you may have prevented a rather large kaboom with me on top of it. Which of course some may have preferred.

I'm jealous of the Op.

Some guy at the local 7-11 sold me one of these
Ford Mustang Mach-E Why is my range growing? Will my battery explode? shopping~2

And told me if I left it in my charge port my range would go up. It has been a month and still no improvement.

Yes, there do appear to be people not getting the joke. I must not be as funny as people say I am. ;)

If we wanted to really confuse new forum members, we should have all given page after page of deadpan straight answers. ;)
