Ok, so I’m just catching up on this post and I’m having the same problem with my GT! I was getting 135-140 at 90% charge and now I’m over 200??? What gives? It’s really freaking me out cuz I’m getting nervous something is wrong. The other day when I was going through the car wash, the inside of my car started to smell like lilacs. Is it related? Maybe the car wash water is getting in the battery and reacting somehow and causing it to swell up? The same thing happens to the sponge in my kitchen sink. Do you think a wet sponge holds more electrons than a dry sponge?

I’m gonna try the rice thing another poster suggested!

Anyone thinking this is real is definitely in the TL;DR club.

It's not @RickMachE 's fault; I'm sure his editor wrote the headline and he just wrote the article.

It's probably a broken or sticking electron level sending unit or float valve.

Also ensure your machE is level when your looking at the indicator. If your on an incline al ot of the electrons will flow toward the back of the Batteries and this will give a false positive level that really isn't there.

Good luck.

Battery's 'electrons' are like bears in the winter. But they wake up during spring. So don't worry, just dive more to make up for the extra miles.
