Hello everyone. I'm in California on a road trip and yesterday now suddenly none our devices can connect to the wifi hotspot. It shows up, but when connecting we get an authentication error or some other random error. Alexa is also giving some comments like you need connected services or something. I checked with at&t website and my plan is up to date. I also did a soft reset...any ideas before I drive for 9 hours with 3 kids on no internet ?.

Try:
  1. Double check to make sure that your password is the same. The last update reset mine to some random string.
  2. Turn the hotspot on and off in the car
  3. Turn off the car and come back later
  4. Hold volume down and next track simultaneously to reboot Sync
Over my year of ownership this happens from time to time and those are the ways I've solved it.

Hey man, did you ever get Alexa to quit telling you that you need connected services to use? Been using Alexa fine for a few weeks. Not suddenly she says I have to turn on connected services. It THEY ARE ON. If I do a hard reset of sync, she works for one or two commands, then goes back to telling me I need to activate connected services. I’m at a loss. Hoping you figured that part out.
