Winter Bay Area Meet-Up

Welcome! The meet-up is going to be pretty informal. Spread the word! ??

I guess if the Spring meet-up is going to be East Bay, someone from the East Bay should suggest a location. Some time in April seems to me to be a good point in time. ??

Hopefully there are some other lurkers out there who will drop in! I'm in the South Bay myself, but definitely up for a drive

For the East Bay, seems to me the place to meet is the Blackhawk Plaza in Danville, CA. Blackhawk Plaza is host to Blackhawk Museum, formerly the Blackhawk Auto Museum. If' you've not visited it has one of the best collection of historically significant sports cars anywhere.

During the spring and summer, the Plaza hosts "Cars and Coffee" which is typically a Sat. morning gearhead wet dream, with folks showing off their project cars and generally enjoying the community and a little java. Would be good to coordinate with the Plaza management, to avoid unintended animosity among ICEheads, but it wouldn't be the worst thing to start planting the 21st century flag in the heart high octane crowd.

Blackhawk Plaza would be great!

Good suggestion for a future location....

I'm going to send out a link for a calendar invite for the 22nd soon for Santana Row. We can potentially play it by ear once we see the weather for that day as to whether we can also figure out a drive from there.

Either date works for me... Santana Row gets kinda crazy on the weekends but I'm willing to give it a try.

Well hell. I just got a message from my vet that my dog has large cell lymphoma. Depending on what’s going on with that, I may or may not be able to make the meet-up on Saturday. ???

I dropped my dog off with a veterinary oncologist this morning. They went over possible treatment options but still need to run tests and get radiographs (radiography tomorrow). I hate cancer. Crying my eyes out. ?

Thanks. I have to take him back for radiographs tomorrow. I am hoping they show that the cancer isn't too advanced. That will put me into deep debt, but it's better than the alternative. ??

So sorry to read this. We had the same thing happen right after Christmas leading to a miserable first week of the New Year. Fur-babies are part of the clan and their ability to hide their weaknesses behind adrenaline just makes illness all the more surprising and gut wrenching. Hope there's better news soon.
