Got our first snow today for the season and the front of the car was covered in ice after 5 min of driving and my dash lit up with a bunch of warnings about the parking sensors and pre-Collison sensors being unusable. Anyone else had this happen and is there a solution for it other then to stop and clear off the ice and snow?

Just keep driving it like an old fashion ICE car.

I thought about putting on something like "Never Wet". But it would discolor the plastic.

So my plan for this winter is to work from home when it's snowing. Snow and ice can't block my sensors if car is in the garage! ? ?

My plan is… Wait, this is the Bay Area. No plan necessary. ??

There are plenty of solutions.

1) Drive backwards. No buildup on the front bumper.

2) Move to Florida.

3) Hire a tiny elf to sit on the bumper and clear the snow.

The fun bit is when a snow storm hits and the LED headlights give off no heat so you get build up on them until they're fully blocked... same as any LED equipped car to be fair.

Those sensors really need a bit of heating.
Happens less on ICE cars since they produce heat and melt all that stuff naturally.
