My ‘23 recently went in for a tire change service and the dealer performed the recall for my wiper motor. They said they checked and it did not require replacement. However, it rained this evening and my wipers are now impacting the A pillar during each swipe. It seems like they’re also sitting/resting a full 2-3 inches higher when not in use. Hoping this is a simple fix but wondering if anyone else subject to the recall has experienced this.

Sounds like they removed the wiper arm but didn't reinstall in the proper location. Is it the driver's side?

I had the wiper motor recall inspection done too. Fix not required. No issues with wipers after the inspection.

I don't know if this helps, but I've noticed when hand washing my car that I can pick up one of the wiper arms and move it several inches up and down along the windshield, thereby setting a different resting location for the wipers. When I move the arm on one wiper, the other wiper arm moves in unison with it. Maybe that'll help with stopping the wiper from hitting the A pillar.

Bring it back and tell them to reinstall the wiper arms properly. The technician did it wrong. Either not indexed right or they didn't tighten it down enough and it slipped on the shaft.

MachLee, I need your help. The manual has no information on rear windshield wipers. My car had a 10,000 mile checkup Friday and the dealer changed out all 3 wiper blades. Now, the rear wiper fluid doesn't spray. Did the dealer break something?
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I did. It’s actually been a nightmare. They more or less implied that their work wouldn’t have caused that issue. I can assure you it didn’t slam into the A pillar before. I have an appointment on Friday.

Did it work before? Changing the blades should not affect the washer spray at all.

I’m taking my vehicle in for the third rear wiper problem. 2021 Mach E AWD premium.

No spray is coming out. it worked in March/April 2026 after the pump was replaced. Hasn’t worked since April. This 2021 had thr panoramic roof warranty recall done in 2022.
