My 3-year warranty is expiring at the end of this year, I do have the extended warranty but then I'd have to pay the deductible.
Within my first few months of ownership my vehicle GPS stopped working. It took the dealership 1 month holding the car, 4 separate visits (they kept saying they fixed it when they didn't so I kept bringing it back), and they finally replaced the antenna and the GPS was fixed.
However at the same time the fix seems to have broken my wireless android auto (it disconnects maybe 3-5 times within a 10 minute span). Carplay is fine, I suspect when they did the GPS antenna it messed up something that wireless android auto uses.
Given how bad the first repair experience was and the fact that wired android auto was still working, I've been using the wired version for the past 2 years and it's fine. The problem is also difficult to reproduce (tech would need to have an android phone and sit there for 2-5 minutes and wait for the disconnect, they were so bad at seeing the GPS issue already...)
Question: should I bring the car back in to get this wireless android auto issue fixed before the warranty expires? There aren't other dealerships nearby (and the further ones I called actually refused to take me saying they only service cars they sell).
