I am looking for a second BEV for my wife. I have been looking at all of the makes like the Bolt, Kona, ID4 and so on. The Bolt is the only one that qualifies for the full 7500 rebate but you can't find any with the better trim. Even if I could find one of the other comparable models they all price high. (but can't find much of anything in stock) I hadn't even considered a M3 as I have been a never again owner.(I had a M3 before my MME 3 years ago). But a standard range M3 is selling for 38k and when you take off the 7500 plus 2000 in NY and the 500 rebate from Tes it puts her in the car for less than 30k. Very compelling, but I have such a dislike of the personality behind the car I just don't know if I can do it. Would you?
Do people just read the title and not your post?

Literally nothing in this makes you think the OP is talking about a BMW M3.

Bolded the obvious “it’s not a BMW” parts.

Tesla M3 people!

If you dig deep enough into any major competitor then I’m sure you’ll feel the same way about them too. Ford has a pretty bad history with being aware of flaws in their vehicles that caused tons of deaths with the Fiesta and the Explorer. They didn’t do anything about it. With the Explorer, documents even showed that Ford knew and said the cost-benefit analysis weighed in favor of just paying out the lawsuits rather than paying for the recall. Elon might be a complete tool, but he’s not ignoring his product killing people. If the car makes sense, go for it. But if you’re worried about the morality of the purchase, you should definitely stay away from Ford and likely every other legacy manufacturer as well.

I wouldn't, no driver display and the styling is boring at this point. However it is the best EV for the money.

Absolutely. It's a great deal. It may not be a great car, but at net <$35k... Yeesh. It doesn't need to be.

I think Elmo is a joke. Good on him for what he has in fact done, but otherwise he's a spoiled middle schooler. But hell, I have no idea what kind of a**hole Bill Ford is, or the guy who runs VW is or the same at Hyundai. Elmo is just more public. So, I take it out of the equation.
