This has got me thinking about one aspect of this long wait - the shipping times. They could shave off weeks if they used a better shipping method. Maybe? I don't know but just thinking out loud. I mean why does it take a damn month+ to get from Mexico to Kansas City? Buy a couple more locomotive engines and get those things up to speed!
As stated, it doesn't. I can tell you that the cancelled order we bought was made on 5/20/21, and prepped by the dealer in SE Michigan on 6/16. I did not look to see when it was where in the process because I didn't care.

Mine says "Scheduled For Production" but no date. Also has a price roughly $2K higher than when I ordered.

I'll probably just cancel. Not that Ford will care, they'll sell every one they make.

The price should be set when you order. If you are looking at the current configuration, it will show the price increase. But look closely to see if the dealer has tried to add something. This has been discussed in other threads.

I am late to the meeting, but the email was due to the '22 orders being moved to Job 2, I can see mine was changed to Job 2 on March 1st.

Where can you see that it has been changed to job 2?

I don't see any adds there. No response from the dealer except to say "that's the price". Possibly sales rep doesn't know any different.

It's on an internal Ford site, same one dealers use to check on vehicle builds, my vehicle changed from program control 2022 job 1 to program control 2022 job 2, there were other changes too, but nothing that seemed super significant aside from that.

Potential things:

1) In my case, dealer markup was one thing that changed on the website. I had it in a written communication that online orders would not have markup. Dealer was noncommittal by email but when I went in person, they said that since I had the written communication, they would keep their word and the website's cost was basically meaningless. (For better or for worse, in my mind...) If that's what is happening, you may be able to get them to back down on it.

2) Ford hiked prices on... December 8, I think it was? $1,000 for most configurations, and if you had a vehicle with the extended range battery, then an additional $1,000 to make for a $2,000 price increase. I'm guessing that's the $2,000 price difference you saw. Supposedly Ford has an internal program to reimburse the dealer the cost difference, so you shouldn't have to. Sounds like some dealers are aware of that and honoring it, others aren't (or maybe they're taking Ford's $2,000 and yours, who knows)... and Ford doesn't seem willing to mediate a price dispute. My dealer doesn't want to commit to a price before we have a VIN (scheduled for production) so I haven't even discussed that with them, but I'm not looking forward to it.

Basically, just because it's on the website doesn't mean you'll have to pay it... although if your dealer wants to treat it as the price, that's not a particularly hopeful start.

Thanks! This is one of the better reviewed Ford dealers around and has been mentioned here in a positive light. They make a big deal about no ADM as well.

I guess we'll see what happens. Capitalism can make the honest crooks if times get tough enough.

When would the May scheduling start to be planned?
Well the production schedule is out for next week already and it says no Mach-E scheduling, so the earliest will be the week of 3/14.

I'd love to know what the other changes were if you have a chance to look again at some point.

Most are program codes that would be meaningless to anyone here. The one that caught my eye though which is maybe a bummer if Ford is cutting costs on it is my Front side window glass type changed from:
WINDOWS-FRT SD LAMINATED GLASS (B2MAC)
to
WINDOWS-FRT SD STANDARD GLASS (B2MAB)

Maybe there is no real difference and the base glass is laminated so they don't call it out, but it sounds like it's possible the front side windows are no longer laminated. This is for a MachE Premium ER AWD.

I believe that was discovered with the order guide update when 2022s started production, but maybe the switch didn't happen for Job 1? The other cut was no kick-to-open tailgate anymore on the 2022s.

Ah okay, yeah not the end of the world on either item then. I looked over the 2022 guide a while ago but don't recall everything.

If I see anything else I will mention it here, I have had sporadic changes in my order history section but recently the Job 2 message and the Windows were the most obvious (and again, not just codes)

Since I am on the site anyway, the Job 2 messages have: "Old Value: 2022 JOB #1 PROGRAM CONTROL (AD6BK) New Value: 2022 JOB #2 PROGRAM CONTROL (AD6BN)"

It shows the modified date and the laminated glass change didn't happen until March 1st which is when the Job 2 was updated, so I suspect Job 1 vehicles got laminated glass.

Hopefully Job 2 vehicles get something nice added and not just stuff taken away. I have a Job 1 2021 F-150, and if it had just been built a couple months later Ford would have added the electronic scale, which would have been cool to have.

I did not get this letter/email but when it came out the estimated delivery date for my car disappeared. I noticed it was in a build state 1/19/2022. Premium AWD Extended range. Did anybody that had the estimated delivery date disappear have the date show up again?
