Taken from the electronic toll collection system, E-ZPass, it seemed relevant for an online automobile forum. I like things that are easy. ?

p.s. I have occasionally used Easypass for non-auto BBS as well since it's so easy.

Maybe I should have included the letters “Ch” in there somewhere too. ??

I would've thought it obvious! I am the reincarnated spirit of a Visigoth barbarian general. Scourge of successive Roman tyrants, I was responsible for the sacking of Rome in 410 and I'm probably the reason you didn't grow up speaking Latin.

I used to be an avid computer gamer and was blown away by a game called Deus Ex. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_Ex_(video_game)

Since then I've used that whenever I can, but it seems to be a popular name to take. I was honestly surprised this name was available when I joined the forum since I was late to the Mach-E game.

I never knew what that meant till I took Latin back in high school. It means "god of" and is typically seen as "deus ex machina," a god from a machine.

Old high school nickname that I started using as my username long ago (my real name is David). A few of us were fans of the "Superdave" comedy show on at the time (a guy attempts stunts and constantly fails in spectacular fashion every time).

One day during basketball practice I was on fire and making every shot (which was unusual for me), and my friend just started yelling out SOOOOOPER-DAAAAVE every time I made a shot, and it just kind of stuck.

I've been following pro cycling since the mid-80s, and when Lance Armstrong came a long I was a big fan. The leader of the Tour de France is awarded a yellow jersey each day to wear for the following day's stage. Lance was in yellow a lot. "Yellow Jersey" in French is "maillot jaune" - which when you try to pronounce with a really poor English accent sorta sounds like "Mellow Johnny".

When Lance travelled around France on the down-low, he would frequently check-in to hotels under the name "Mellow Johnny" - although I'm not sure that part is actually true , but I started using it online.

His bike shop in Austin is called...you guessed it, Mellow Johnny's https://www.mellowjohnnys.com/

My name is not Johnny, but I am fairly mellow

And the avatar? That's Iron Maiden's mascot, Eddie.
