Wow, this is really impressive! Hopefully it's a sign that Ford is starting to deal with their supply constaints.

It looks like they produced more in February but were waiting on a part to finish them up on the basic thought that Feb and Mar = 2 x Jan? Be interesting to see April figures.

If you believe that logistics/shipping constraints are driving many of us with January builds to be stuck in "built" status with no line of sight to being shipped, this strikes me as very bad news. This may mean more cars coming off the line with all of their parts that will ship before ours....

Farley was saying they're going to be at 200K units/year pace by this December. They're still at about 70K units/year. Long ways to go.

More like 88k/year now at March rate. But I wonder was this 200k/year worldwide, including China?

That's just under 17k a month and they're at 7300 MachEs so with Transit and Lightning should be no problem.

Unsure but most likely.

The 200k number was the target for the mach e, which was supposed to be ramping up over the year so it wouldn't be 200k in 2022 but a rate of 200k/year by end of year. But they're still falling short due to the chip shortage getting worse not better. They wanted 600k/year total BEVs by 2023.

Thanks Admin for posting.
Keep in mind, that Cuautitlan is the only assembly plant for MME markets in US AND Europe/Canada. 7K units per month would be near plant capacity (as seen in 2021). About half of that production is sold in non-US markets and won't count against US tax credit cap.
Let's hope they get a second production line going once the "chip shortage" is solved, but both seem unlikely in the next 6 months. The higher production in March vs Feb is encouraging, but I'm still a long way from the "exhilaration" that Ford advised months ago.

That's the highest monthly production so far and probably represents completion of some cars partially assembled in February that were awaiting parts.

I will get excited when they start shipping these vehicles and people that ordered in October and November are finally on the forms saying they have their vehicle. Also the horrible, unexplained delays in shipping make me want to cancel mine. Why are vehicles still stuck in ship yards with no clear explanation. I am still holding out but it would be good to hear more people on forms like this getting their vehicles and starting to have a smoother process when doing so.
