When we set the speed, we notice that it jumps 15 mph above the posted limit when the speed limit changes.
So, if the road is 30mph and we have it set at 35, when the road speed increases to 45, it jumps to 60. If the road is 50, it jumps to 65 and so on. This is really dangerous and concerning. I see the jump in set speed even if the cruise control is in paused mode. Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't have that problem. I turned that setting off.

Sounds like Predictive Speed Assist is turned on with a tolerance of +15 mph. Look in Driver Assistance, Adaptive Cruise Control, Predictive Speed Assist.

You can turn off Predictive Speed Assist or dial down the tolerance.

Note: This is not the same as Speed Limit Assist. The maximum there is only 5 mph.

Found the setting. Thanks. The weirdest thing was when you would past a sign that had your current speed limit and it would increase the setting.

Yes, with ACC on with Predictive Speed Assist enabled, every speed limit sign is acted upon, either from map data or camera, Maybe both, I am not sure.

I have used the car with predictive speed assist on with a tolerance of 0. It will warn of hills and curves and will slow you down if necessary while using the adaptive cruise control. What I don't like is the car slowing down to 25 in a school zone on a Sunday morning. I have learned to put my foot on the accelerator while going through known school zones when the zone is not active to maintain speed. Lastly I never use ACC in town, only on highways.

I was having a similar problem in blue cruise, the dealer was not help; someone here suggested I turn off Predictive Speed Assist, the behavior is gone, as is the annoying signified drop when approaching a bend in the road.

Pretty much everyone turns it off because at some point it will read the speed limit incorrectly and your car will jump in speed when you don’t want it to.

I’m kind of shocked it even exists.

An actual setting where you choose exactly how much you want to break the law.

Imagine if the car had a built in breathalyzer that would let you drive at 2X the legal limit. 😳

After three years, I still haven’t decided if I want +5 or +9

If the speed limit is 60, I want +9. If it’s above 70, I want +5 to conserve fuel economy.

Perhaps you should read the manual to learn how your predictive speed control works.

Check your settings:
Settings
Driver Assistance
Adaptive Speed Control
Predictive Speed Assist
Tolerance

I'm new to the Mach E and this forum, glad there are gatekeepers here. I did a search since it didn't come with a users manual and didn't find anything a. Others here were helpful and I found where they pointed.

Feel free to ask questions if you can't find an answer to things. That's a major reason to have a forum in the first place. 1) Dealers in my expereince so far are clueless about what the Mach-E should do, can do or will do. 2) The Ford Manual is not intuitive at all. I won't use the on-screen in car version, the interface is just terrible unless you already know what you want and where to find it. 3) the manual is sometimes WRONG, ie Park Assist or Foot Operated Lift Gate.

From your Ford account on the web you can either use the html version of the manual or just download the PDF. The PDF is much faster for searching if you can narrow down the search.

The online manual is the best to get you started, because it’s AI enabled. But doesn’t give you the full picture. You have to do more digging. There is lots of good info on Google too.

You can click on the citation number to jump to that section of the manual.
