Out of curiosity; are you a Carmageddon fan? Trying to get some style points by flapping the trunk into people faces at speed? The only thing that would interest me is an always-present trunk open/close button on the touchscreen.
These updates be like:Oh big updates are planned? My bet there will be a OTA update to a module that prepares the module for future updates that will make updating the module better prepared for future updates. To the module.
Oooohhhh I forgot about this one. Good one.If we're doing wish lists, then I'd like subscription prices on EA and Tesla with Plug & Charge![]()
These updates be like:
Prepare car!!! Prepare car for OTA update! Fasten all seatbelts! Seal all entrances and exits! Close all shops in the mall! Cancel the three-ring circus! Secure all animals in the zoo!
I'm not disagreeing with you - just frustrated with Ford's software messing up a simple thing like opening the door.Dude, I’m relating my experience only, not yours. Masing a button 5 to 10 times in quick sucession doesn't make anything work better. The problem with PAAK challenged ownerts is those with issues get defensive when others don’t have the same experience.
If PAAK doesn’t work, use the FOB. If neither PAAK nor a fob work, get it fixed or get something else. It isn’t religion, and even with religion you can change.
I turned off my mirror auto fold/unfold. It sounded and looked like it was going to jam up and break the internal gears. Maybe I’ll see if mine also, unfolds but doesn’t unlock. PAaK has been useless for me for quite some time. I am back to carrying the key fob, but it is so bulky.I love that we "defend" this behavior - like having to do the same thing twice to get it to work, or that functionality success depends on how hard you push the buttons is alright.
As for the 2 button pushes - I think the worst part is when the first press unfolds the mirrors but doesn't pop the door so the car actually recognized that the button was pressed and still half-assed it.
Pet mode…We can collectively all agree that we will not receive any of the long asked for things that the people on this board have been asking for for years.
There's a fix for this problem? Anybody taken their car in and had this successfully fixed? If so, I'll talk to my dealership, but my expectation is I would be wasting my time.Dude, I’m relating my experience only, not yours. There’s a fix for everything on this car. Whether the dealer can figure out what it is or whether Ford will authorize the fix is another story. The fact that some folks have the issue, including some while using a fob, while others don't suggests something amiss with individual cars. There's a fix for this problem? What I'm looking for is reassurance that this common problem has a well-known solution. I'm not interested in a "dealership adventure", where I take it in several times and they try several different things, etc. I'd rather just swear at it a couple times, that usually does the trick. If not, I'll break down, pull out my phone, open the Ford app and press the unlock button. There’s a fix for everything on this car. And of it’s irritating enough, get something else. Life is too short to spend it getting upset with inanimate objects.
