Thanks for the info, I took it to the dealer today because after connecting it to either a L1, L2 or L2 (32 AMP) charger the car goes into a fault after you remove the charging connector. It appears to go away and come back. When I was at the dealer they wanted it all day today with little hopes of when I would get it back. I had other plans and so far no issues with actual charging or driving so I left the dealer and made an appointment for Monday.

This is my second visit but what they did the first time need to be done again to get Ford Engineering involved. So the process starts again etc.

Maybe a Ford Mach-E engineer is on the Forum and can call my dealer to give a hand, wishful thinking.

The dealer confirmed that a firmware notice came out today which is very similar to my issue. However they are NEW to the MACH-E and said they have no idea if it applies and they must run a process with Ford via the "Hot Line". Basically they need handholding from Ford and must be provided the next steps.

I guess I could have left it today, took another loaner and maybe hopped for the best, but I had other plans. At the time I also was hopping by Monday a bright light of info gets to them and they have an attack plan. Again probably wishful thinking but you never know who is reading the forum .

Stay tuned my friends...

I got the "service vehicle soon" message today too. I noticed while sitting in the car when it was plugged into my L2 charger. I was doing some setup stuff with the car started and sometimes not started.

Wondering if a quick plug into a dc charger would help?

Have you successfully DCFC'd with your car yet?

Add me to the list. I was programming the HomeLInk (unsuccessfully) when I noticed it. Before that was setting (successfully) the lift height (lots of false starts on that because the manual has it wrong).

FordPass reports the message relates to a powertrain or four-wheel drive fault. Kinda skeptical on that. I can see this message becoming an ubiquitous PITA.

I suspect I am not alone with this issue, I do love company :)

I rarely Fast Charge and my dealer does not have one either.

I want to note for others to see if they get a RED ring on the charge port after taking the charge cable off.

For me it's all the time, then it clears after a while. Even if I plug it back in while red it starts to charge again with no issues.

The list is growing, that didn't take long. I got the same message as well but it also clears.

There is no effect from it that I can tell, car drives the same.

Well the "had then resolved" list is also growing. I just left it for a few hours. When I started it again the message was gone. I didn't think this was an actual problem BTW. My guess was when the MME hit some unexpected state from doing something trivial (like programming the lift gate or Homelink) it tossed a "there is an error" code, which was handled inartfulbly and reported as a drive train failure.

Hopefully they'll address this. Could turn into a nightmare if this happens a lot and people are taking their vehicles back to the dealer. Will increase blood pressures and waste everyone's time.

Did you unplug it from charging yet?

Haven't charged it actually. I plugged it in twice for a minute or two just to see the lights. The SOC is very high so I wasn't going to bother, especially in that, AFAICT, to set departure times you first have to charge at that location. So I was going to wait until tomorrow to charge and then use that session to set the departure times.

Hard to say but I don't think the error was charging related.

Ah, okay, I can say my issue is charge related. You might be fine, report back if it come on again.

I hope Ford is cataloging all of the 'Error' messages that are reported to User. Seems like that would be valuable data to create fixes on both the vehicle, software, and the App.

I think there is a good chance that is happening. I know there is a program running where they reward the techs for submitting issues or concerns related to the MME.

MME is still at dealer, they say they are waiting for Ford. I have to say I really appreciate my MME FE over the Premium Standard, breaks and acceleration are so much different. I took the loaner out for a ride and it's just not the same. I was able to duplicate the service error at my house but it does appear to clear quicker on the loaner. Looks like something with the software but what do I know.

Would really love my MME back :)

PPF next week, hopefully that still get done.
